Pumpkin painting was just one of many fun activities at last weekend's annual Rooster Rush, held indoors for the first time at the De Smet Event & Wellness Center. Many families attended this free event and were able to visit with the vendors at their booths, play with some adorable puppies, try meals from two different food trucks and even sample some delicious pies. The evening was topped off with a rousing performance from local band Flashback. This was the first year of opening the event up to all of Kingsbury County, and next year, the plan is to include youth from other county schools in the pheasant-coloring contest as well.
